2008 was an interesting year for Salmon fishing with nusual water levels and an unusually good catch of grilse at the back end of the season. This season should also be an interesting one as it will be the third season since the abolishment of drift nets in Killala bay. Hopefully there will be a good run of springers as well as thee grilse this year.

We have introduced a new spinner this year, The revolutionary RB Devon, it is manufactured in Russia and similar in appearance to the popular old devon but it has a ball bearing in it to spin the blade, you may have seen it featured in the “Irish Angler” magazine, if not you can see it in our online store or pop into the shop and see one in person, you really need to see one to appreciate the craftsmanship.

We are also offering a 5% discount off all web orders over €50, however this excludes licence’s and permits.
